Hi! I live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania (about a 1:20 train-ride from Philadelphia). I don't have a bike right now, but I plan on buying a used 80cc two stroke bike to trail ride. I own a private stable with about 7 acres of property for me to ride on. The great thing is the back of my property adjoins many many acres of woods (I own an acre of woods) with a lot trails for horses, trikes, and dirt bikes (my man rides a trike, thats how I got into dirt bikes). And there are a bunch of places to ride in my area, most reachable on bike (sometimes you just have to cross a road--and not get caught by the cops!). I own a horse trailer, a dodge durango to pull it with, and a chevy silverado 3500 dually pick-up (that doesn't have a hitch yet, never got around to it). I could easily drive to some places that are a little farther.

If any of you live in the area, maybe we could ride together sometime (provided I get a bike before then!). And, if you know of a bike for sale in my area (80cc MX or XR100) PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! Thanks!

Yours in sport,
JADE

I am from Vail Colorado and do most of my riding here in Colorado except when enduro races take me to other states. I too have raced some of the AMA Nationals and ISDE Qualifiers. Everyone should check out a motorcycle event where you can meet other riders. I will be at Cloudcroft New Mexico this weekend if anyone else is there say HI.

Hi Michelle,
I'm an aussie chick & got on a bike for the first time 3 days ago & i'm hooked!
My B'friend has been gradually getting me into riding, he has a CR250 & it is a little big & heavy for me. (I can't even touch the ground) but I have a friend with a little KX 100 & She let me have a go. I Just loved it as I knew I would so most of my birthday money is going towards my CR80.
We usually go down the coast or just around some local trails.
I think Girls getting into riding is really cool!

Had an email this morning.
If anyone wants to contact Jan, please email me. Welcome aboard Jan :)

I'm Jan and live in New Orleans, Louisiana. I'm 43 and have been riding for 12 years. I've raced in the Houston Astrodome and competed in Mississippi and Baton Rouge. I now ride in Mccomb, Mississippi.

My bike is a 1987 Suzuki.

Hi, my name is Shelby and I live outside of Peoria, Illinois. My husband has been a dirt bike rider since he was a little kid and thought I would enjoy it. He bought me a Kawasaki 125 a few years ago but it is too tall for me. He then bought a 100 for me to try and it is much better. The only bad thing is I don't get to ride much so I'm still very much a beginner.

I went to the Mid-West Spodefest and watched everyone ride and it sparked my interest. I'm in the process of getting the "proper" riding gear and hope to ride some before winter.

I like to ride in the woods (not tight stuff) and going up and down hills (small ones). :)

I'll keep you posted on my progress!

I am really a girl. This is my husbands username. I also live in Vail, Colorado and have been riding for a year this month (Oct) I am hooked as well. I have a 2000 YZ125, and I love it!! I am racing motocross in the women's novice class, and the senior novice class. (The beginner class is too dangerous) I mostly race the SRAC but I do some RMXA races too. The state championships are this weekend. Hopefully I can keep my 5th place in the points and get a trophy at the end of the year. I am excited to see all of the women riders. GIRLS KICK A@#!!!

I've been riding about 7 years (with 2 off to have 2 kids).
Learned to ride in Idaho. Now live in Washington state near Portland, OR. My husband and I spend our summers camping and trail riding all over Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Lots of fun!
Just this last year my husband has been doing hare scrambles and cross country races, mostly in Oregon. May try one sometime.

Well, I might as well finally get around to intoducing myself... :) I lurk around off and on (more off then on these days, I have a LOT going on right now...) I live in the base of the thumb of Michigan, and when I had a bike I rode in circles in my back yard... I have a pretty good sized track back there now, which a lot of my friends ride. It is WAY beyond what I could ride, but since I can't afford a bike right now I enjoy being able to provide a place for my friends to ride. I did ride some trails but not many. My ex husband got me hooked on bikes and when he left I just stayed interested. My future husband knows nothing about bikes but thinks it is cool that I like them and that I want another one. The cool thing about that is that when I do get a bike *I* get to teach HIM how to ride, and HE will be the one trying to keep up!

Pony, definitely welcome along :)
I think quite a few of us would know you from RMD even if you don't know us :)

One thing I could never work out, is you've got this track, but no bike and friends use the track. Do they actually let you ride their bikes?

I look forward to the day when you get another bike :)

Michelle,
They would be more than happy to let me ride their bikes, but I'm 'ascared to! I suck really bad, and putting me on 125 or 250 that is tweaked for racing would be akin to sticking a 5 year old in a fighter jet... I just found out last night that they are trying to find a way to thank me for letting them ride out here, and one of their ideas is to find me an old bike that I can putter around on, which is really all i want anyway. Of course, if either of those two raffle tickets I bought comes back a winner I won't have to worry about having a bike, I'll have more bike than I know what to do with! :D

Hi, My name is Patti. I live in Brick,NJ. I'll be 41 in Jan. and I've been riding for three years. I ride a rm125. I do trail riding and I race enduros. I do alot of my riding in the Lebanon Forest in Ocean County NJ. I ride with my husband. He taught me how to ride a motorcyle three years ago and I've been riding ever since. I really love riding. It's the most fun I've ever had. My first bike was a 1986 XL185, then I had a 1986 cr125. I have a 1991 rm125 up for sale right now. My next bike is going to be a 1995 rm125. I really like suzuki's. They are flickable in tight trails. I really like the way the bike feels. I'm new to this site and I'd like to converse with other women riders.

Hi, I guess I should get around to introducing myself as I've been posting on here for a couple of weeks now. My name is Sharla and I just moved to St. Maries, ID from Spokane, WA. Mica, where bbbom lives, is in the middle. I rode off and on for the last three years but this is the first year I've had my own bike and been riding a lot.
I am 21 and a reporter for the small newspaper in St. Maries.
I ride an XR200 for now but I want something faster next year. I'm going to keep my little pig though so I can get a friend out ridin'!
I ride mostly woods and mountains, a lot of the same areas bbbom mentioned, in fact I've ridden at bbbom's house. Lots of dry, rocky mountains around there but in my new town lots more mud :)
If anybody is ever here in the inland NW let me know and we'll hook up! Although it may have to wait until spring--it's starting to snow here.

Good idea Michelle, especially since some have moved.

I'm over here on the west side of the Cascades now, and there are lots more trees to hit and the ground is a lot muddier. There are more places to ride on mx tracks though so I've been practicing that a lot more.

I live in Toledo, Ohio. I am 28 years old. I just started riding last year on a cr80 expert and almost killed myself. I have moved to a ttr-125 and enjoy riding in the forests. I ride with my husband. He enjoys the comic relief I provide while riding. I hope to improve my riding skill this year. :)

Hi All!

This will be my 3rd season of riding---if it ever stops snowing and gets above 30 degrees!!

This will also be my 3rd season on a different bike. I started on a XR100 then last year rode a TTR225 and quickly outgrew both. I just sold my TTR last weekend, so this weekend we are concentrating on test riding a few bikes--KDX200, KLX300 and a XR250 to see which one we will buy. My husband has been riding since he was 5, and he is a very patient and wonderful teacher.

We live in Joliet, Illinois--50 or so miles south of Chicago. I competed in a Hare Scramble race last year, and I was the only woman. This year I will probably try some more races, and maybe an enduro. Motocross is NOT my cup of tea---too scary! I am pretty good on my mountain bike in the tight woods, and the same on my motorcycle, so I will keep to the woods!

Glad to meet everyone!
