Well I am out for trailfest and the rest of the season. Time to drink beer in the pits!

Bummer Scotty on that shoulder. Hope it go's well and heals strong. Now the drinking beer part, you should be pretty used to that!

We can use a "ace gas man" in Goshen and I will make sure the cooler is full of beer. :boss:

Spaghetti on Sat night too!

I can't think of a better place for a 5 year old on a 50.... Or a 50 year old on 110...

Scar face on the 110 is 51 years young. As for those who have the little ones, I have a plan. The knee in doing fine but the Doc. doesn't want me to take any chances with it (riding hard) intil spring. I can easily take the little ones for a good ride. So if you want to drop them off at the Trailfest day care center and ride with the big boys, I'll look after them. If they wear me out I'll teach them how to drink Freddy's beer.

I Know That The Bro In-law Is Planning On Taking Little Katie On Sat. So It Sounds Like That Would Be A Good Day For The Little Tykes. They Can Always Ride Around The Clubgroud Trails Also.

I would like info on this event, since this will be my first time.
How many miles of trail are marked? Are both days the same trail?
Do we need to bring someone to run gas for us?

My family will need to stay in motels for the weekend. Will we miss any fun stuff by running to the motel for the night?

WR - we have about 50 miles set up for Saturday (only "official" day of the event). The riding on Sunday usually has a lot fewer riders and there are plenty of options - not usually the same trails. We will provide a gas truck.
Most of the fun stuff will occur before the sun sets...the bench racing does not end until the beer stops flowing. Quiet hours on the clubgrounds is 11:00 - usually not a problem.

The planning for this event continues. We will have two riding groups - I will refer to them as Jack Pine and Pine Cone. We may also have a dual sport option. All three groups will meet during the event a couple of times (all will gas and have lunch at the same location).
I received an email from a riding friend of the family (used to ride team class with my dad and Larry S.) and was asking about this event. He is not on DRN, but heard about it from a guy in Traverse City. Word of mouth advertising works best sometimes.
Looking forward to a great weekend!!
